Arajet – Citibank ERP Integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365

Streamlining financial operations

Arajet, a fast-growing airline, sought to simplify its financial processes by connecting Microsoft Dynamics 365 directly with Citibank, their main banking partner. The objective was to allow users to initiate payments from within Dynamics 365 while receiving immediate confirmation and status updates from the bank. The system also needed to be deployed in Arajet's own Microsoft Azure environment to ensure scalability and reliability.

The challenge

Executing the project meant overcoming several challenges. Arajet's internal processes and timelines had to be respected while ensuring secure and reliable communication with the banks. Multiple stakeholders were involved, from ERP administrators to bank representatives, each with their own requirements. The complexity of configuring infrastructure in the cloud and aligning specifications across different teams required careful planning, transparency, and constant communication.

Building the solution together

DGITAL Labs began the collaboration with a structured kickoff session that aligned expectations and clarified requirements. From there, the team worked closely with all parties involved, to prepare business and technical specifications and configure the cloud infrastructure. A custom application was developed to connect Dynamics 365 with the banks, ensuring payment requests could be initiated and responses captured in real time.

Automated deployment pipelines were established to streamline releases, and the solution was thoroughly tested before deployment in Arajet's Azure test environment. Throughout the process, DGITAL Labs remained flexible and responsive, quickly adapting to feedback and ensuring smooth progress.
